Just when you thought everybody’s favorite catering business couldn’t get any better, Jennifer Cornell, the Small Chef at Large, is welcoming Chef Alice Weingarten in time to gear up for another busy and fun culinary holiday season.
The company will still be known as Small Chef at Large Catering, but the new duo is referring to themselves as the Small & Large Chefs. With the addition of Chef Alice to the catering team, The Small & Large Chefs are introducing holiday cooking classes.
Treat yourself to Thanksgiving cooking class, which will be held Tuesday, November 17 from 5:30-7:30 P.M. Christmas and New Year’s cooking classes will be held December 8 and 15 from 5:30-7:30 P.M. At only $25 per person, it is an excellent value for great recipes, holiday food ideas & menus, tasting, and fancy tricks of the trade not often given away.
If you’d rather spend your holiday gatherings visiting and relaxing with family and friends, just leave the holiday cooking and baking to the experts. Homestyle Thanksgiving dinner for ten people is $190.00.

Yes, the Small Chef at Large is alive and well, and truly better than ever. She’s cooking out of the new VFW kitchen at 2200 N. Roosevelt. If you miss the goodies from her deli--and who doesn’t?--she still has delicious food available for pick up.
Call to order appetizers, sandwich platters, desserts, dinners, or anything else you’re craving. Box lunches are also available to go. Fishing guides and guests, call in your orders and pick them up before you head out across the street at the Garrison Bight City Marina.
Chef Jennifer is also providing all your favorite yummy comfort food at the VFW. Enjoy appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees like momma used to make (or better). And nothing is over $10. How does she do that?
Lunch is served from noon to 3:00 P.M. and dinner is served from 5:00-8:00 P.M. 7 days a week. Members and the public are very welcome, with smoking and non-smoking available.
